Type of invoice

• Personal invoice: for private buyers who are not taxpayers, an e-Arşiv invoice is issued.
• Company invoice: for companies and sole traders, issued on the company name, tax office and tax number (the ID number for a sole trader). If you are registered for e-Fatura, the law requires an e-Fatura rather than an e-Arşiv invoice, so please tick the box at checkout accordingly.

What we ask for, and why

• Name (personal) or company name (company) and the invoice address: required content of an invoice (Tax Procedure Law Art. 230).
• Tax office and tax number: needed for a company invoice only.
• National ID number: not required on an e-Arşiv invoice to a private buyer for an internet sale. It is optional on a personal invoice; give it only if you want it on the invoice. The number is checked for validity.
• Invoice email: optional. If empty, the invoice goes to the email address you gave for the order.
• An order collected at the shop has no delivery address, so you type the invoice address separately.

How and when you get the invoice

• The invoice is issued electronically (PDF) and emailed to the address you gave. No paper invoice is posted; if you want a printout, write to info@piercingland.com.tr.
• The invoice is issued and sent within seven days of delivery at the latest, as the Tax Procedure Law requires. For an order collected at the shop it is issued at handover.
• If the invoice email does not arrive, check your spam folder first, then write to info@piercingland.com.tr with your order number.

Accuracy and corrections

The invoice is issued on the details you entered, so please check them before paying. If you spot a mistake before the invoice is issued, tell us at once. Once issued, an invoice can be changed only as the law allows, by cancelling and issuing it again.

Invoices when an item is returned

If an item is returned, the invoice is cancelled or corrected with a return invoice, as the law requires. A private buyer is not asked to issue any document. A company buyer may have to issue a return invoice itself, and we tell you if so.

Retention

Invoices and invoice details are kept for the periods the Tax Procedure Law and the Commercial Code require, then deleted or anonymised.
