Commercial Electronic Messages and Marketing Permission
This policy sets out the rules for PiercingLand sending commercial electronic messages by email, such as campaigns, discounts and product promotion. Under Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce and the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages, prior permission is needed before commercial electronic messages can be sent to consumers.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Current situation: PiercingLand does not send marketing commercial electronic messages at present. For that reason no marketing permission box is shown when you order or sign up. If sending begins, permission is asked for in the way this policy describes and only as an option.
1. The Permission Text
When marketing permission begins to be asked for, the following text is shown next to the tick box:
“I would like to receive campaign, discount and product promotion messages by email from PiercingLand. This permission is optional; not giving it does not stop me ordering or signing up. I can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in each email or by writing to info@piercingland.com.tr.” Sender: Hüseyin ÖLMEZ / PiercingLand · info@piercingland.com.tr
The permission is for email only; it does not mean permission for SMS or telephone marketing.
2. Principles for the Tick Box
- The box is never pre-ticked; it is ticked only by your own choice.
- The permission is not made a condition of accepting the Distance Sales Contract, of being given the Privacy Notice or of completing the order.
- Who the sender is and how to withdraw the permission are visible next to the permission text.
3. Operational Emails
Order confirmation, payment status, shipping and tracking details, collection-from-the-shop notices, cancellation and return process, account confirmation and password reset emails are transactional messages sent to carry out the service and do not depend on marketing permission. No campaign or discount advertising is added to them. No advertising message is sent to someone who has not given marketing permission.
4. Keeping a Record of the Permission
When permission is given, the following are recorded: which email address it was given for, the date and time, where it was given (account form, checkout page or newsletter form), the version of the text shown and the choice made. Only authorised people have access to the records, only for managing permissions, complying with the law and, where needed, proving them. Permission and refusal records are managed as the law requires.
5. Withdrawing Permission
- Every marketing email has an easy, free and working “unsubscribe” link.
- You can also withdraw your permission by writing to info@piercingland.com.tr.
- A refusal request is carried out within three business days at the latest, and no marketing message is sent after that.
- Deleting an account does not mean the marketing permission continues; when the account is deleted, the marketing choice ends too.
- Withdrawing permission does not end the processing of data needed to carry out an order, issue an invoice or meet a legal retention duty; that data is not used for marketing.
6. Service Providers
If a third-party service provider is used to send email, its access and any transfer abroad are stated in the Privacy Notice.
